Our professional cast iron engineering staff works closely with our customers to design and develop high quality and leading edge tooling, resulting in high-quality casting. All this is done with a primary focus on providing the most cost effective design possible.
Badger foundry utilizes Solidworks and can utilize Step, STP and STL files. Other formats are available upon request (Pro-E/Creo, Catia, Anvil and Unigraphics). NovaCast software is utilized to conduct flow simulation and solidification analysis. These tools aid us in understanding feed paths and solidification characteristics of each unique casting.
Badger foundry also offers 3-D scanning for dimensional verification.
APQP:
Badger Foundry conducts an intensive APQP (Advanced, Product, Quality, Planning). Through these efforts we establish PPAP (Product Part Approval Process) requirements and identify Key Characteristics of the product and process to ensure high quality products and service to our customers.
Tracker:
Badger Foundry has created a part specific tracker document which captures details of all activities associated with each individual casting. This document is initiated and maintained throughout the entire life of the casting.
